With the commencement of summer, June is already an exciting month. But the fact that June is also Pride Month makes it even better. Established in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in Manhattan, Pride celebrates the Gay Liberation Movement and has since grown to include the entirety of the LGBTQ community.
While Pride is known for its events and parades, it's also an important time for awareness and advocacy on the many levels, when it comes to big brands too. Some of our favorite brands seize the opportunity to support the LGBTQ+ community in June with rainbow logos and proclamations of support, and it's the ones that also lend monetary aid that have the power to really make a difference.
From clothing lines to beauty brands and even food chains, numerous companies are using their platform and position to support the cause in big and small ways. Here, we're highlighting a short list of brands that are making significant contributions in 2019.
