In a time where women's rights are at the forefront of our country's — and world's — conversations, women are in the spotlight now more than ever before. Though many have been met with pushback, or even hatred, woman have stood their ground, continuing to accomplish their goals and be forthright in their opinions.
Though there have been amazing women throughout the history of time, we've decided to take a look back at the women of the last 100 years. By doing so, we can see how much has truly changed over the century, and that no matter what the decade, women have always been amazing. From Josephine Baker to Amelia Earhart, the spectacular women of our past have paved the way for the women dominating right now. Whether they were leading a civil rights movement, or discovering the structure of DNA, to say these women are inspiring is an understatement.

1920s: Helen Keller
Helen Keller was born in 1980 in Alabama, and due to an unknown illness, went deaf and blind at a very early age. With the help of Anne Sullivan, Keller's instructor, Keller learned to communicate and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree and become a famous speaker and author. She gave countless motivational speeches not only about conditions similar to hers, but about political issues such as the impact of war and women's rights. Keller showed the world that anything is possible.
