These Fruits And Vegetables Look Like They’ve Come Alive

When was the last time that you really, truly thought about the vegetables on your plate? These guys are much more interesting than we give them credit for, which is why we should all give a round of applause to these fruits and veggies that look like they are alive...
When you think of planet Earth, what do you think of? The human beings that walk alongside you with their AirPods and their Yeezy sneakers? The adorable pets that you have at home, waiting for cuddles and snuggles? The lions and the tigers and the bears that roam areas of the world that you hope to never visit? Well, what about the fruits and vegetables of the world? Most people forget that there are millions of fruits and veggies growing at one time, and we feel like they deserve their moment.

There’s no doubt about the fact that the fruits and veggies of this world truly make their mark on this planet. They grow in some of the toughest of conditions, and they feed more people than we can count with their goodness and their nutrients. It seems as though they can also give us a laugh every so often, which means that their talents are endless. Yes, these fruits and veggies look like they have come alive…

The flying pumpkin

We’re all familiar with the story of Cinderella, right? Sure, there are glass slippers and princes involved, but we were more interested in the fact that Cinders’ fairy godmother was able to transform a pumpkin into a carriage. What did she do with the innards? Did she scoop them out before Cinderella made her way into the carriage? Did the horses not want to take a bite out of the vegetable?
Although it seems as though we’ll never get the answers, we can take a peek at the fairy godmother’s unsuccessful attempts. In trying to magic a carriage to live, this bippity-boppity-booing fairy created a flying pumpkin in the form of a swan instead.

A wise owl

They always say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but what about the owls? People who simply bite into their apple miss the chance to see the amazing patterns inside of their fruit, and this is the perfect example of a piece of fruit that looks as though it’s alive.
This particular person found themselves in an extremely fortunate situation where they managed to get a BOGOF offer on their owl when they bought this apple. While they were expecting a new pet and a few bites of a succulent apple, they actually got two owls instead! We have a feeling the smaller owl won’t be quite as high maintenance.

Hello there

There are two kinds of people in this world. There are those who love to go grocery shopping and could spend hours making their way around the aisles, and there are those who try to head in and out in seconds. Yet, we can’t help but wonder if everyone would fall in love with grocery shopping if they came across fruits and veggies like this on a regular basis.
After all, who wouldn’t want to stop and chat with an eggplant?! While the reputation of the eggplant has changed over the years - no thanks to the world of emojis - this guy just wants to show the world that he’s pretty friendly. Just look at that face, y’all. That’s the kind of eggplant that you could be friends with.

The naughty tomato

When it comes to fruits and vegetables, there’s no doubt about the fact that there’s a cuteness scale. At the bottom of the cuteness scale, you have pineapple with all of its intimidating spikes, and towards the top of the cuteness scale, you definitely have tomatoes.
These little guys just sit there looking cute most of the time, right? Well, maybe not. This little dude is proof that tomatoes can have a devilish side to them, and that they’re not all fruity angels that want to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to your salad. Not only has it sprouted horns, but it also seems to be staring right into our soul.

Bedroom eyes

Anyone else feels like they want to have a conversation with this radish and get to know it a little better? After all, it looks as though it’s giving us the bedroom eyes - even though it doesn’t quite have eyes - and we just don’t know what to make of it.
This stance is throwing us right off, and we don’t think we’ve ever felt this way about a vegetable before. Nevertheless, we’re sure that this radish has got a loving family that we just can’t see in the shot. Let’s just hope that they haven’t already been chopped up and put into a stew because we feel like this radish has a lot of love to give.

Oh, gourd!

If you have absolutely no idea what this fruit is, then you’re not alone. This is actually a bitter gourd, but fruit aficionados amongst you may know it as bitter melon. Of course, it’s not surprising that most people have never seen one of these bad boys before because it seems as though this fruit is in the midst of some soul searching.
They don’t know whether they are feeling shocked or whether they are feeling downright scared. The world can be a shocking and scary place, and sometimes we also find ourselves in the midst of emotional turmoil. This little dude needs to just take a deep breath, and think about all the good times they’ve had as a gourd.

The ultimate dance-off

No, this isn’t some kind of weird, waxy octopus that’s in the midst of the ultimate dance-off. Of course, an octopus would inevitably win in any dance-off they were faced with, this particular fruit doesn’t live below the ocean. This is actually Buddha’s hand, a strange and unusual citrus fruit that looks like a lemon that has been drinking too many protein shakes.
While we are a little disappointed that this fruit isn’t an octopus, there’s no doubt about the fact that it still looks as though it could be in the midst of a dance-off. After all, they would be perfect when it came to the hand jive, considering they have about six million of them.

Fly away home

If this isn’t the cutest thing you have ever seen in your life, then you should probably take another hard look at this beautiful butterfly. While we do know that this strawberry is actually a fruit, there’s no doubt about the fact that we will forever see it as a butterfly that will soon fly away home with all of the other saw butterflies that exist in the world.
In fact, we have a feeling that the whole world would be a better place if it was full of stray butterflies. People would be happier, the skies would be beautiful, and more people would be eating fruit. Either that or they would eat less fruit because they wouldn’t want to eat these adorable things…

Duck, duck, peanut

Long gone are the days of playing duck, duck, goose, because it’s now all about the duck, duck, peanut. Yes, it seems as though a new era of youngsters have decided that geese just aren’t cool enough, and are choosing to play their playground games with peanuts instead.
Okay, we have no idea if that is the case, but there’s no denying the fact that this peanut really does look like a duck! It features the typical round body we’re used to seeing, the tiny Lil’ head, and the adorable beak. Perhaps this is a new duck dish available for vegans? The vegan world was missing some mock duck, and now our prayers have been answered.

The odd one out

Although the world is becoming more and more accepting of those who are a little different, we can’t help but feel sorry for this giant tomato. After all, the odd one out almost always gets bullied. If you look behind this duck tomato, you’ll see a whole bowl of tomatoes that look exactly the same in terms of their shape and their size.
Then, along comes this duck tomato with its bill and its duck head, and they immediately feel threatened. They don’t like to see someone standing out from the crowd, because tomatoes aren’t about that duck life. We hope that the person holding this duck tomato protects it at all costs.

A different kind of dragon

If you’ve ever watched Game of Thrones, you’ll know that dragons play a huge part in this storyline. In fact, they throw all kinds of spanners into the works. Although Daenerys took good care of her dragons, it seems as though she left her pumpkin dragon at home. Perhaps it didn’t quite fit her bill?
Maybe she was looking for something a bit more roarsome? Even though this dragon is a little different, we could imagine that the Mother of Dragons could have put this guy to good use. Instead of destroying King’s Landing with fire, Daenerys could have just ordered her dragon to spew pumpkin guts over the city instead. Would have saved a few lives, anyway.

Two peppers in a pod

Do you ever feel like your vegetables are pretty angry with you? After all, you probably wouldn’t like it if someone cut you in two and then cooked you up for their dinner. Although these veggies can’t talk to let out their frustration or anger, it seems as though some of them do communicate in other ways.
These two peppers in a pod were best friends when they were attached together. They were besties, and they did everything together! Then, a horrible human came along and cut them in two, and they were forced apart. This was just too much for them to bear, so they decided to show the human that they weren’t happy. We don’t blame them.

Telling you off

Yes, it’s time to think about everything you have ever done wrong in your life because this piece of broccoli has a bone to pick with you. They’re not happy with you, and they want to give you a good ol’ telling off. Can you not see their little finger poking up and pointing at you?
They’re ready to blow, my friends. Of course, this doesn’t help the fact that some people just hate eating broccoli. It’s not the tastiest vegetable in the fruit and vegetable kingdom, and most people simply push it around their plate. If they saw that the broccoli was also getting ready to tell them off, they would probably just push it off the plate and into the trash.

The perfect listener

Lemons are often given a bad reputation. They are seen as sour and bitter, but you might be surprised to know that stereotype just isn’t true. These guys are just out there doing their own thing and don’t like to get involved in the human drama. Despite this, lemons will be there for you if you need them.
They will sit there and listen to you intently like the ultimate therapist, and although they won’t talk back, they will allow you to come to your own conclusions. We need more lemons in this world, but we also need to change the lemon stereotype. Please join us in standing alongside these lemons.

Sissy that walk

Hands up if you think that this radish has more sass than you do? Of course, there are always two sides to every story, and we’re not sure which one is correct in this situation. Either this radish was really feeling themselves on this day and wanted to practice their catwalk, or something much more sinister is going on.
Could this be the beginning of the radish revolution? Right now, it can walk and has developed limbs, but what next? Will it be able to control our minds? Will it infiltrate government systems? We don’t really know what to believe, so we will continue to wear a colander on our heads just in case.

What the cluck

We don’t know what is going on in the strawberry community at the moment, but it seems as though strawberries just don’t feel comfortable in their own skin - or their own pips. Why are they trying to change their looks? Why is this delicious fruit trying to look like a chicken?
It’s sad to think that this strawberry has had to change itself to feel happy, but we live in a world where anything goes. So, if a strawberry wants to become a chicken, then it has every right to do so. To be fair to this strawberry, it’s totally rocking the look, and it looks like a cool chick.

Give us a hug

There’s no doubt about the fact that potatoes are some of the most versatile vegetables in the world. Don’t believe us? Well, listen closely. Potatoes can be transformed into fries, chips, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, and even a naughty beverage that we won’t mention.
However, it seems as though this potato bear is trying to start a new trend. It watched all of its sisters become new and varied foods on a dish, and it realized that it didn’t want to follow in the same macabre end. This potato wanted to live a long and prosperous life, and it also wanted to eat honey in peace. So, it became a bear.

Toeing the line

Well, this one could go either of two ways. There are some people out there who really like feet and do everything they can to get close to feet, both literally and metaphorically. If this is you, there’s a high chance that you’re pretty taken by the radish in front of you.
While we can’t guarantee that it will be cheesy, it will probably have a slightly earthy aroma to it. If you land on the other side of the spectrum, then this picture is probably toeing the line a little bit. After all, who wants to eat a vegetable that looks like a giant foot? We appreciate the fact that this veggie has five toes, but it’s just not nailing it for us.

Angry onion

If you’re wondering where you’ve seen this onion before, then maybe this will jog your memory. Back in the day, when Tamagotchis were roaming this land and platform shoes were in fashion, the Angry Birds video game was all the rage. These birds were pretty angry, and they were forced to roam about collecting points and prizes for weeks on end.
Then, their time came to an end. The Angry Birds became even angrier, and they soon realized that they had no purpose in life. Nobody was playing their game, and it seemed as though they had been forgotten. Thankfully, they had a plan up their nonexistent sleeves. They became onions.

Giving us the finger

While we are a little concerned that someone has quite literally chopped off a finger and taken a picture of it, the lack of gore makes us think that this is just a rather randomly shaped potato. This potato finger is hyper-realistic, and we can’t help but wonder what someone would do with such a thing.
Sure, they could chop it up and make sweet potato pie, but they could also make use of the potato before it went moldy. They could terrorize their neighbors, they could prank their colleagues, and they could even use it as a backscratcher. The opportunities really are endless.

The flying eggplant

When you think about it, it must be pretty boring when you live as a vegetable. You spend all that time growing in a field or chilling out on a tree, and then you’re just cut down to become someone’s dinner. Just like that. What if these vegetables don’t want to be eaten?
What if they want to fly away and become a nomad who lives off the land? It seems as though this eggplant had that exact same idea, and started evolving itself to do just that. This guy started growing wings and had almost made their escape when they were plucked and taken to the grocery store.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Onion

Does anyone else see Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael in this onion? Just us? This Teenage Mutant Ninja Onion seems to be here to save the day, even though it will definitely make you cry in the process. However, these onions never mean to make you cry.
They do so without realizing it because they are just important additions within the community. After all, society wouldn’t be the same without the onions who live in the sewers and then make their way up to the surface to make your hot dog as yummy as it possibly can be. Actually, we hope they don’t come up from the sewers…

You are my sunshine

There’s nothing cooler than seeing a vegetable with a happy, smiling face on it. This image makes our heart feel full, and it makes us feel as though they're really is some good in the world. Of course, the skeptics amongst do wonder if this could also be a ruse.
After all, no vegetable wants you to eat them, and would you really want to eat a pepper that looks as though it’s a happy ray of sunshine? Probably not. By putting on this persona, this little pepper could be enacting its fight for survival. It’s up to you whether you want to save this pepper, or whether you want to add it to your stir fry. Please make the right decision.

The bare necessities

Peaches are beautifully sweet, aren’t they? They are the perfect snack when you’re feeling a little peckish and fancy something to curb your sugar cravings, but it seems as though there are a few peaches out there who are a lot sweeter than the rest. Yes, ladies and gents, just look at this bear peach!
It’s like nothing else we’ve ever seen in our lives, and it’s both adorable and frightening at the same time. Will it attack us if we go to bite into it? Will it growl when it’s ripe? Or will it taste like honey? We don’t know if we can cope without knowing the answers to these life-changing questions.

Dropping the mixtape

Carrots are some of the coolest vegetables in the world, and you can’t deny that this carrot is cooler than some people you know. In fact, it looks like it’s going to drop the sickest mixtape of 2019, and we can’t wait to hear it. We’ve heard that this carrot will be going back to its roots for its next album, and bringing the music back down to earth.
We’re glad to see that it’s also managed to sort out the cover art for its album because that’s often a tricky aspect to nail. Not only does this cover show off this carrot’s quirky new hairstyle, but it also portrays an important message. Water is important for growth, people.

Thinking about life

We don’t know where these carrots have come from, but we hope that we never come across one in our lives. Yes, either that’s a giant carrot, or that’s a tiny bowl. We kinda hope it’s the latter option because we don’t have time for an infestation of giant carrots in our lives.
Thankfully, it seems as though this guy won’t be causing too much damage. As you can tell in the photo, this carrot is spending its days thinking about its life. Its head is bowed, its knees have been pulled up to its chest, and it seems as though a lot is on its mind. Join the club, carrot.

A scary pickle

There are two kinds of people in this world. There are those who love pickles, and there are those who avoid them as though their lives depend on it. That’s because pickles are an acquired taste, and they are also pretty vicious. After all, just look at this one!
This vegetable obviously wasn’t too happy when it was picked and then pickled right before it was going to go on vacation, so decided to let the whole world know about it. They were going to rue the day that they were taken away from their margaritas on the beach, and they made it their mission to haunt the people outside of the jar for the rest of their life.

A ballad potato

Potatoes are pretty great, right? They’re tasty in every single form, and they are just the best vegetables to have in your kitchen. However, it seems as though this potato doesn’t quite know what it is. While trying to decide whether it wanted to be a French fry or a baked potato, wires were crossed, and this potato decided to become a sheep instead.
While there’s nothing wrong with being a sheep, we can’t help but wonder if its owners would want to eat something that looks so adorable. Or perhaps that was their plan all along? It is survival of the fittest, after all.

Na na na, but kiwi

If you ever wondered what kiwis did on their day off, you’ll be happy to know that they keep themselves extremely busy. In fact, they spend their days saving the world of fruits and vegetables and make this planet a better one to live on. Don’t believe us?
Well, how do you explain the bat signal in this kiwi? The human world has a batman, so why can’t the fruit and vegetable world have a batkiwi? We really do hope that this fruit has its very own theme tune because we feel like it’s missing out if it doesn’t at least have a fun jingle.

Saving themselves

Okay, these two are pretty strange. These gourds have grown into strange and mysterious shapes, but we can’t help but wonder if this has worked in their favor. Because they are so weird and wonderful, we can’t imagine that the owner of this vegetable patch would want to pick them and eat them.
Why would you waste something so magical? We wouldn’t. By growing in this endearing fashion, they are actually saving themselves. We live in a human-eats-gourd world, and sometimes you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do to put yourselves first. These two are doing just that, and we congratulate them for that.

Rockabye pear-baby

Yes, these pears really do look weirder the more you look at them. We don’t know why anyone would try and alter pears to make them grow into babies, but it seems as though that’s exactly what happens across the world. Whatever floats your boat, we guess. These pear babies are pretty creepy, but they are also kinda adorable in away.
If you really squint your eyes. What makes us a little uncomfortable, though, is the fact that people are going to be eating these pears. They’re not for decorative purposes, after all. Someone will be munching into the head of a baby, and we just can’t get our own heads around that.

The happiest strawberry on earth

We all know that Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth, but what has this strawberry got to do with it? Well, as you can see, this is the happiest strawberry on Earth, because it has become the fruity embodiment of the world-famous mouse. While we don’t quite know whether this is Minnie or Mickey, there’s no denying the ears on its head.
Thankfully, we have a feeling that this mouse will taste much nicer than the actual Minnie and Mickey Mouse, and it won’t put up as much as a fight when it gets near to your mouth. Doesn’t it look delicious?

Smelling the rejection

Sure, ginger may technically be a spice, but it comes from a root, so we’re going to pop it in the vegetable category, alright?! Good. We couldn’t leave this guy out of the mix anyway, because it would have smelled the rejection from a mile away.
As if that wasn’t enough, this ginger root also looks like the type of ginger to complain when they didn’t get their way. Just look at that mouth. It’s ready and waiting to call over the manager if needs be, and they won’t hold back. Yes, it’s best to keep your distance from this one.

A cool dude

There’s always one person who has to be the center of attention, isn’t there? While there’s no doubt about the fact that the other lemons in this basket are going to feel a bit bitter about the giant lemon in the middle, we have a feeling that they’ll get over it.

After all, you can’t really be mad with someone when they do have awesome sunglasses. Not only is this lemon about three times the size of the other lemons around, but it can also rock some fake Ray-Bans like nobody’s business. Hopefully, the other lemons will grow into their sunglasses one day. We have hope for them.

Having a cuddle

When you eat your vegetables in the evening, do you ever think about the impact you may be having on a home? A family? A lifestyle? No, we bet you don’t. This photo highlights the impact that humans have on the world of fruits and vegetables.
These two carrots just wanted to stay together, and they couldn’t bear to be torn apart. They were all each other had in this world, and then someone came over and chopped them up into tiny pieces. Okay we’re totally kidding, but you can’t deny that this is a very poignant picture of two carrots who just wanna have a cuddle, can you?
